Garda Liaison Youth Initiative Angling Day Lough Rowan 2011
R.S.D.A.C recently had the pleasure of hosting a Garda Liaison Youth Initiative angling event at Lough Rowan trout fishery, Gorvagh Co. Leitrim. Garda Mick Heffernan and colleagues travelled all the way from the central Dublin area accompanied by 2 separate groups of children who were met by Club members Paul Beck, Jim Boyle, George Taylor and Tony Egan to name but a few. All of the children enjoyed their day which consisted of boat trips, barbeques and angling tuition, while as our photographs suggest, some lucky anglers managed to land some hard fighting rainbows for which this fishery is well renowned.
